What are the best places to meet Brazilian women in Brazil?

Jimi den Hollander

Even in the smallest fishing village, you will get women’s attention, but the big cities are the place to be. Just think:

  1. It’s the best place for going out.
  2. You will meet Brazilian women who speak some English.
  3. Less social control.
  4. The Brazilian women there often have some experience with foreigners.
  5. The number of women you’ll meet is larger.
  6. The most beautiful and intelligent women can be found there.
  7. There’s a greater diversity of women.

In short, in the big cities, you’ve got the best chance of success. Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte certainly qualify for this.

Rio de Janeiro

When you fly to Brazil, chances are you will fly to the international airport of Rio de Janeiro. This city, also known as Cidade Maravilhosa, is perhaps the best place to meet Brazilian women.

Why?

The famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro offer you the chance to also pick up Brazilian women during the day. This is contrary to cities such as Belo Horizonte and São Paulo where you can only do so in a bar or a club in the evenings and nights.

At the beach, you can talk to women during the day, no problem, because Brazilian women are used to it: there’s flirting on the beach. Period.

The easiest way to come into contact with a Brazilian woman on the beach is by asking if she’ll watch your towel while you take a dive in the water.

Which beaches are the place to be in Rio de Janeiro and which are the ones to avoid?

The beaches have numbered watchtowers, better known as postos. They are numbered ascendingly from north to south. Please read my post about it and take a walk with me.

Tourism

Rio de Janeiro is incredibly touristic, and that colors the entire city, in particular in the city’s south. This area is better known as the zona sul, where many women walk around scantily dressed. A lot of flirting takes place here, including in the street.

I met my current girlfriend during the day on Leblon’s boulevard. I had spotted her in a bar the previous night but hadn’t walked up to her because I was too tired and was about to go home. In the cab, I soon regretted that decision. I decided to go back to that same bar the next night, hoping she’d be there again.

When I saw her on the boulevard the next day, I could hardly believe my eyes. What luck! I immediately approached her and asked her if she recognized me from the previous night. After all, we’d exchanged a few brief looks. She initially denied it at first, but after some insistence, she confirmed she did recognize me. A smile appeared on her face. During the ten-minute walk by the beach, I did my best to charm her, because I knew: this could be the one. Five days later, we caught a flight to Belo Horizonte together.

Something for everyone

Rio de Janeiro owes its incredible diversity in women to centuries of international immigration to the city. It doesn’t matter what your type is, you will certainly find her in Rio.

Nightlife

In Rio de Janeiro, you can go out every night if you want. Particularly in the Brazilian summer months, there’s always something to do.

If you’re looking for rich, highly-educated women, the bars of Leblon are the right place for you. A nice bar to start your barhopping in is the popular Belmonte.

The hip club Miroir is located on the Lagoa de Freitas where you can meet the most beautiful women of Rio de Janeiro. Leave your flip-flops at home and dress to impress.

In Ipanema, there are many bars known as gringo bars, and these attract girls interested in Western men. Famous bars are: Empório, Shenanigan’s and Barzin.

For the best samba clubs, go to Lapa, where fantastic street parties are also organized around the Arcos in the summer months. Clubs such as Rio Scenarium, Lapa 40 Graus, Café Cultural Sacrilégio and Carioca da Gema are clubs where many women go if they want to meet Western men. The women here are more laid back than in the zona sul.

São Paulo

São Paulo is often skipped by tourists when they visit Brazil and that’s a real shame. São Paulo is the largest metropolis of South America and perhaps Brazil’s greatest city.

Why should you go there?

Not very touristy

São Paulo is not as touristy as Rio de Janeiro, and that has its advantages. With your Western looks, this will make you something special to many Brazilian women, making you interesting without having to do or say anything.

This gives you an immediate advantage!

Most beautiful women

The most beautiful women are born in Minas Gerais, but eventually they all move to São Paulo. Everywhere in the world, the smartest and most beautiful people move to the big cities in search of happiness and success. The same is true for Brazil.

24 hour party people

Without a doubt, São Paulo has the best and most varied nightlife of Brazil. The countless bars and clubs make the city a paradise for party animals. You can party 24/7.

The greatest and largest nightlife area is located in the districts of Vila Madalena and Pinheiros. Every night, hordes of single people go there to dance and flirt. You can find the most bars in and around Rua Aspicuelta, a street in Vila Madalena.

The crowd there is young and middle class.

Popular samba clubs are O do Borogodo, Pau Brasil and on Sunday afternoon Samba do Sol. The crowd is of all ages and comes from every layer of society.

For a fancy bar with equally fancy women you need to go to the Bar Astor. Beneath the bar is the Subastor club, which opens its doors at 8 pm.

Would you like to go to a bar with girls so loose they’ll sometimes walk around naked? No, I’m not talking about a strip club. The bar has no official name, but you can find it on the Rua Inácio Pereira da Rocha 25. Be ready for alternative girls and a fun chaotic mess.

Do you enjoy raves because of the type of girl you can meet there? With D-EDGE, São Paulo has the best club in Brazil. Check out Facebook for any underground parties being organized by Carlos Capslock, Selvagem or Gop Tun. These are the hippest parties São Paulo has to offer.

Belo Horizonte

Perhaps you’ve seen the news report. In August 2014, a report on the Internet stated that the village of Noiva Do Cordeiro in the state of Minas Gerais had a shortage of men and that 600 gorgeous Brazilian women asked men from all over the world to come to their village.

The report was picked up by many newspapers, but in hindsight this was based on a misunderstanding.

Shame.

It is true though that Belo Horizonte has an excess of 150,000 women between the ages of 15 to 29.

I’ve been told:

“Ten women are lining up for every bachelor in Belo Horizonte. If you, as a man, go to a bar there, you are literally swarmed by women.”

And yes, the most beautiful women are born in the state Minas Gerais. And it just so happens that Belo Horizonte is the capital of this state.

The best time to travel to Brazil

The best time to travel to Brazil is in the Brazilian summer months: December, January and February. Particularly during the time between Christmas and carnival, there’s lots to do there and the Brazilians have the most days off.

Carnival officially lasts only six days, but with the pre- and post-carnival parties, partying goes on for nearly three uninterrupted weeks. There is no other period during the year when the Brazilians are in such high spirits.

And, as for the women: during carnival, they all want just one thing: to make out with as many cute men as possible.

The chance that you will meet the love of your life there might be slim, but it’s the perfect opportunity to easily come into contact with Brazilian women.
